The World School Games is a series of eight youth sporting events held in iconic venues across the world and throughout the academic year.

Our events in swimming, dance, netball, golf, football, basketball, volleyball, and multisport disciplines are open to every school - public or private, large or small - throughout the world.

At WSG, we pride ourselves on breaking down barriers between students from a variety of backgrounds and cultures by creating unforgettable memories for the next generation of athletes.

Our events are open to every single school across the globe, transcending geographies to allow students the opportunity to compete on an international level.

There are no minimum entry requirements in terms of sporting skill level, however age group and gender entry criteria varies between each event.

FAQs

The World School Games is a multisport series of events that champions the power of sport to shape global citizens for the future.

Founded in 2018, the WSG Event Series aims to unearth the World Champions of school sport. We strive to create first-class sporting experiences for students from across the globe to compete in state-of-the-art facilities and on the world stage.

The Series is inclusive, transcending geographies and educational systems to be truly open for all - a celebration of global sporting excellence, culture, determination, and friendship.

Our events are open to every single school across the globe, transcending geographies to allow students the opportunity to compete on an international level.

There are no minimum entry requirements in terms of sporting skill level, however age group and gender entry criteria varies between each event.

For team events (Olympia, Dance, Netball, Football, Basketball & Volleyball) students must be part of a school team, with club teams unable to enter.

Students are permitted to enter WSG Swim & WSG Golf as individual representatives of their school - however, they will not be eligible for the team competitions and standings.

No, club teams are not permitted to participate in World School Games events.

The current World School Games Event Series line up includes WSG Olympia (athletics, football & swimming), WSG Swim, WSG Dance, WSG Netball, WSG Golf, WSG Football, WSG Basketball & WSG Volleyball.

If there is a sport you think we should add, let us know! We are always keen to explore adding new events based on demand.

Registrations for each event are limited by age group and country. However, interested schools should fill out our Enquiry Form in the first instance.

Official photos are made available to view and purchase in the days immediately following each event. Stay tuned to our social media channels for information once galleries become available.
