Welcome to WSG Football

The World Schools Football Cup takes place in October in Barcelona, Spain, and is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for school teams from across the globe to showcase their skills on the international stage.

The three-day tournament is staged at the highly impressive Mediterranean Sports Hub complex, with all players staying, eating, training, and competing onsite to create an Olympic-style athletes’ village. Idyllic accommodation at Cambrils Park Resort is just a ten minute walk from the FIFA-grade pitches on which the action takes place.

With a thousand young players from across the globe taking part, WSG Football presents a truly unique opportunity for young players to not only develop as players on the field, but as people off the pitch as a variety of different cultures come together in a celebration of sport.

From the first beat of the drum at our Opening Ceremony to the crowning of the World Champions of School Football, WSG Football promises breathtaking action and memories to last a lifetime as players represent themselves, their school, and their country on the world stage.

Aside from the action, we also pride ourselves on offering athletes unforgettable off-field experiences - such as extensive event media coverage, a live TV show, training and masterclass sessions with UEFA A-licensed coaches, and optional team excursions.

With the inaugural event taking place in 2021, The World Schools Football Cup is back even bigger, better, and more international than ever before for its sixth edition in October 2026.
