Welcome to WSG Netball

The World Schools Netball Cup is held in June at Loughborough University in England, with the campus widely regarded as the world’s best sporting university and serving as the home of England Netball.

It’s the dream venue for The World Schools Netball Cup, with a seemingly endless list of professional athletes and Olympians training in the university’s top-class sporting facilities.

As hundreds of athletes arrive for four incredible days of action, WSG Netball presents a truly unique opportunity for the best school teams across the globe to showcase their talents on the international stage.

From the fireworks of the Opening Ceremony right to the crowning of our world champions, WSG Netball is a world class sporting and cultural experience for the stars of tomorrow.

Thanks to our partnership with Netball Super League side Loughborough University, our young players will get the opportunity to meet, train with, and learn from some of the best professional players in the country.

Aside from the action, we also pride ourselves on offering athletes unforgettable off-court experiences - such as professional event media coverage, specialist commentary, training and masterclass sessions, and optional team excursions.

With the inaugural event taking place in 2019, The World Schools Netball Cup is back even bigger, better, and more international than ever before for its seventh edition in June 2027.

Our spectacular Opening Ceremony will kickstart proceedings in style before the WSG Netball All-Star Matches take centre stage, pitting Team Europe against Team Rest of the World as players from different schools join forces in the ultimate tournament curtain-raiser.

Schools will then contest a series of Group Stage matches against teams from around the world before progressing into the relevant tiered knockout competition to challenge for silverware and for a chance to be crowned World Champions of School Netball.

The tournament is open to Girls teams in U13, U15, U17, and U19 age categories, with places allocated on a first come, first served basis and confirmed upon payment of your Team Registration Fee.

This gives each team one guaranteed knockout stage match against a team who has performed similarly to themselves in the group stages. From this point onwards, matches will run to a conclusion to determine final placings - if a team loses a knockout match, they may still have further fixtures.
