The World School Basketball Championships is the world’s premier international school basketball tournament, incorporating three days of action into one unforgettable sporting and cultural experience.

The Championships are held in November at L’Alqueria del Basket in Valencia, Spain, and allow students the unique opportunity to showcase their talents on the world stage.

WSG Basketball 2026 is set to take place between 6-8 November, with parents, guardians, and spectators welcome to attend and celebrate the incredible talents of our young players. Those looking to do so can find all the necessary information below…

Travel and Accommodation Tips

Supporters are advised to fly into Valencia Airport wherever possible, or other airports on the Spanish East Coast such as Alicante
Parents and spectators may stay in our official event accommodation during the event, though separate from school groups
WSG will provide official parents & spectators accommodation options and packages in advance of the Championships
Parents of participants from local schools - and those making their own accommodation arrangements - may also attend

Key Event Information

Parents, guardians, and supporters are welcome to attend The World School Basketball Championships free of charge and should familiarise themselves with the following information…

Spectators may attend WSG Basketball on all three competition days free of charge. Bleacher seating is available courtside for our Showcourt. During the Opening Ceremony and Awards Presentation, priority will be given to athletes and coaches for the available bleacher seating.

For fixtures on all other courts, spectators will be required to view matches from the balcony.

Alqueria del Basket is located on C/ del Bomber Ramon Duart, s/n, Quatre Carreres, 46013 València. The facility is located next to the Roig Arena and Pavello Fuente de San Luis stadium.

There is a free car park (Aparcamiento gratuito Fonteta) located opposite the venue on C/ del Bomber Ramon Duart, s/n, Quatre Carreres, 46013 València.

On-street parking is also available outside the venue and surrounding streets.

Our Showcourt will be live streamed every day, with around 30 matches streamed over the course of the weekend. We will endeavour to ensure every school is featured at least once on the showcourt. The matches will be free to view on the WSG YouTube Channel. A selection of matches will also be filmed, to be made available on playback after the event.

Spectator Guidelines

To ensure the smooth running of WSG Basketball, attending spectators should follow instructions from event staff and security personnel at all times.

Attendees should remain in areas designated for parents, guardians, and supporters at all times, and should refrain from attempting to interfere with participant activities.

Decisions made by Event Officials are final, and any abuse towards staff, coaches, athletes, or other personnel will not be tolerated.
