World School Basketball Championships to return to Valencia in 2026

We are today pleased to announce dates and registration details for The World School Basketball Championships 2026!
WSG Basketball will once again be returning to the incredible facilities at L’Alqueria del Basket in Valencia, Spain for its sixth edition between 6-8 November 2026.
This iconic basketballing venue – which has hosted the past three WSG Basketball Championships – is home to Valencia Basket’s men’s and women’s professional teams, with a total of 13 indoor and outdoor courts alongside the brand new 20,000-seater Roig Arena just next door.
Participants will not only have the opportunity to represent themselves, their school, and their country on the world stage, but also to play and train with professionals at the largest basketball facility in Europe.
The Championships will once again be open to both Boys and Girls teams in U16 and U19 age categories, with numerous chances of silverware as schools battle it out to be crowned the World Champions of School Basketball.
The action will get underway on Friday 6th November with our grand Opening Ceremony and fan-favourite WSG Basketball All-Star matches. Then, schools will take to the courts on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November for a weekend of incredible action and unforgettable memories.
After the most international edition ever in November 2025, with 14 different countries represented, we cannot wait to welcome even more schools from right across the globe for what promises to be the biggest and best WSG Basketball yet!
