Introducing The World School Volleyball Championships

The World School Games Event Series is today pleased to officially announce the addition of an eighth event to our global sporting calendar – The World School Volleyball Championships!

New for the 2026/27 academic year, and following a highly successful pilot event, The World School Volleyball Championships will take place between 27-30th November 2026 in Antalya, Turkey.

Antalya is Turkey’s ‘capital of tourism’ – a vibrant city known for its stunning beaches, historical sites, and incredible sporting facilities.

The Gloria Sports Arena – located in Belek – is the largest sports facility in the country and welcomes hundreds of professional athletes each year.

WSG Volleyball will afford young players the unique opportunity to both showcase their talents and compete on the world stage, facing off against other schools from across the globe.

The four-day event will welcome a total of 32 teams across four different age categories – U16 Boys, U16 Girls, U19 Boys, and U19 Girls.

Group Stage matches will be followed by tiered Knockout Rounds, with every school competing for silverware and vying to be crowned the World Champions of School Volleyball.

From the excitement of the Opening Ceremony and All-Star Matches, to the worldwide selection of schools and professional media offering, WSG Volleyball promises to be a first class cultural and sporting experience for the stars of tomorrow.

About the venue

With a state-of-the-art Show Court and multiple competition courts, Gloria Sports Arena delivers a truly world-class experience and provides the perfect stage for the next generation to showcase their skills.

The sprawling arena houses equipment and facilities for over 50 different sporting disciplines across its 105,000m² footprint.

As an official Olympic Training Centre used by the world’s top athletes, the experiences on offer at Gloria Sports Arena extend far beyond the volleyball court.

Schools will have access to training sessions, state-of-the-art gym facilities, the Icelab, saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, and much more during their stay onsite.

Featuring an on-site athlete hotel, our schools will have the opportunity to live, train, and compete like professionals. Guests can expect a wide range of healthy meal choices, unlimited soft drinks, and sports-themed bedrooms designed for comfort.
