World Schools Dance Championship 2026 | Roll of Honour

The World School Games Event Series entered an exciting new era at the weekend, following a highly successful inaugural World Schools Dance Championship!

Hosted in London, UK, the unique event welcomed a number of schools from across the globe for a unique weekend of dance and cultural celebration.

Schools from England and Scotland were joined by Dubai International Academy Emirates Hills (UAE) and GD Goenka Public School Dwarka (India) as the first ever WSG Dance allowed students the unique opportunity to showcase their talents on the world stage.

The event - which became the eighth in the WSG Event Series - blended professional workshops and rehearsals with strong competition and even some West End shows.

It all began on Friday with a number of our schools taking part in rehearsal sessions at Danceworks studios in the heart of London.

These rehearsal sessions - organised in conjunction with our friends at West End Workshop - provided the perfect opportunity for our travelling schools to receive professional feedback and advice ahead of the WSG Grand Show the following day.

Hosted at the stunning Shaw Theatre, the Grand Show saw schools compete across Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Open categories in Junior and Senior age groups.

The sold out crowd - and those watching along via our live stream - were treated to some incredible performances as our dancers showcased their talents on the international stage.

Industry experts Lucy Jane Adcock and Leightonjay Halliday judged each performance, providing valuable feedback to our dancers and scoring acts across a number of technical areas.

Before that, though, the show was kickstarted in style, thanks to brilliant performances from Ellie Fergusson and Summit Dance Company. These stunning performances from professional dancers set the tone for the afternoon to follow, as students then showed what they can do on The Shaw Theatre’s sprawling stage.
