The World School Swim Championships returned to London for their fifth edition last weekend, with athletes from across the globe competing in the prestigious three-day event!
Over 500 athletes representing 23 nationalities descended on the English capital eager to showcase their incredible talents on the international stage.
In what was the most international edition of WSG Swim to date, we were delighted to welcome representatives from new countries such as Mongolia, Moldova and Pakistan.
Held once again at the iconic London Aquatics Centre - home of swimming at the 2012 Olympic Games - our athletes had the unique opportunity to follow in the footsteps of their heroes.
They even got the chance to hear from one on Friday morning when Anna Hopkin MBE joined us for a very special Q&A session.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallist and former world record holder was on hand to offer advice to our athletes as they prepared to compete on the international stage, and also had time for a quick chat with WSG TV…
It was then time for our swimmers to take to the pool for the first time. New for 2026, an additional Friday Night Lights evening session set the tone for an incredible weekend – with a raucous atmosphere inside the LAC as swimmers competed in the 200m Medley, 4x50m Medley Relay, and 4x50m Freestyle and Mixed Freestyle Relays.
The action then continued into Saturday and Sunday, with countless individual medals secured and PBs smashed as our athletes put on an excellent display in the pool.
A true standout moment was the WSG Nations Cup 2026 which returned for its second edition. The 4x50m Mixed Relay saw athletes from different schools come together and compete as a national team on the world stage.
The atmosphere was electric once again, with Team England taking the victory and retaining the Cup following another hugely exciting race to round off a spectacular weekend.
Not only were individual race accolades up for grabs, though, with all swimmers collecting points for their school teams across the weekend. Prizes awaited the top Boys and Girls teams in each age category, before the Overall WSG Swim Champions were crowned.
Let’s now take a look at our official 2026 Roll of Honour…
