The World Schools Football Cup is the world’s premier international school football tournament, bringing together students from over 20 countries and incorporating three days of action into one unforgettable experience.

The competition is held in October at the Mediterranean Sports Hub in Barcelona, Spain, and allows students the unique opportunity to showcase their talents on the world stage.

WSG Football 2026 is set to take place between 9-11 October, with parents, guardians, and spectators welcome to attend and celebrate the incredible talents of our young players. Those looking to do so can find all the necessary information below…

Travel and Accommodation Tips

Supporters are advised to fly into Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (1hr 15min transfer) or Reus Airport (20 min transfer) wherever possible
Parents and spectators may not stay in our official event accommodation at Cambrils Park Resort; this is strictly for athletes only
WSG will not provide official parents & spectators accommodation options, but advise supporters to book accommodation in the neighbouring Sanguli Resort
Parents of participants from local schools - and those making their own accommodation arrangements elsewhere - may also attend only the competition venue (Futbol Salou)

Parents, guardians, and supporters are welcome to attend The World Schools Football Cup free of charge and should familiarise themselves with the following information…

Spectators may attend WSG Football on all three competition days free of charge, however access to Cambrils Park resort is strictly for competing players and staff.

Mediterranean Sports Village (Futbol Salou) is a 15-minute walk from the athletes’ village at Cambrils Park Resort. It is a slightly shorter walk for those supporters staying at our recommended accommodation, Sanguli Resort.

The full address is Mediterranean Sports Village, Vial Salou Cambrils, 43840 Salou, T, Spain. Spectators should access the venue off the T-325 road.

Extensive free parking is available at Futbol Salou for spectators to make use of. The venue is also accessible by BusPlana services and taxis for spectators travelling from further afield.

Two pitches will be live streamed every day, with around 30 matches streamed over the course of the weekend. We will endeavour to ensure every school is featured at least once on the live stream. The matches will be free to view on the WSG YouTube Channel.

Additionally, spectators can stay up-to-date with all the action via our social media channels.

Spectator Guidelines

To ensure the smooth running of WSG Football, attending spectators should follow instructions from event staff and security personnel at all times.

Attendees should remain in areas designated for parents, guardians, and supporters at all times, and should refrain from attempting to interfere with participant activities.

Decisions made by Event Officials are final, and any abuse towards staff, coaches, athletes, or other personnel will not be tolerated.

Spectators can attend all three days of competition free of charge. Full details for spectators will be available in due course.

We do not have accommodation packages but we recommend the neighbouring resort to Cambrils Park: https://www.sangulisalou.com/en/

Yes for an additional cost of £30pp. Note that the bus will only drop at Cambrils Resort and parents would need to source additional travel if staying within a different part of Salou.
