The World Schools Golf Championship is a unique international school golfing event that incorporates three of Scotland’s finest courses into one unforgettable sporting experience in the Home of Golf.

The Championship is held in September in St Andrews at Fairmont St Andrews’ Kittocks and Torrance Courses as well as Ladybank Golf Club, and allows students the opportunity to showcase their talents on the world stage.

WSG Golf 2026 is set to take place between 14-16 September, with parents, guardians, and spectators welcome to attend and celebrate the incredible talents of our young golfers. Those looking to do so can find all the necessary information below…

Travel and Accommodation Tips

Supporters are advised to fly into Dundee or Edinburgh Airports wherever possible, with regular public transport links available from both to official event accommodation in the centre of Dundee
Parents and spectators may stay in our official event accommodation during the event, though separate from school groups
WSG will provide official parents & spectators accommodation options and packages in advance of the Championship
Parents of participants from local schools - and those making their own accommodation arrangements - may also attend

Key Event Information

Parents, guardians, and supporters are welcome to attend The World Schools Golf Championship free of charge and should familiarise themselves with the following information…

Spectators may attend WSG Golf on all three competition days free of charge. Spectators are permitted to walk around the courses, however are kindly advised to remain within the tree line/rough/overgrowth and avoid entering the main fairways during play.

Fairmont St Andrews (Rounds One and Two) is located at Kingask House, St Andrews, KY16 8PN. Access to the Kittocks & Torrance Courses is via the A917 - visitors should follow the road through the estate and past the hotel where they will arrive at the clubhouse.

Ladybank Golf Club (Round Three) is located at Annsmuir, Ladybank, Fife, KY15 7RA. The club is accessed via a straight road just off the A92 - visitors should follow the road until they arrive at the clubhouse.

There is extensive, free onsite parking available at both Fairmont St Andrews and Ladybank Golf Club for spectators to make use of.

Both locations are also well-served by public transport. The number 95 bus will take spectators from St Andrews town centre directly to Fairmont, with the nearest train station (Leuchars) also just 15 minutes away by taxi.

Ladybank Golf Club is located just a short walk from Ladybank Railway Station, with direct train links to Edinburgh and Dundee.

One selected hole will be live streamed each day and we will endeavour to ensure each golfer is featured. The rounds will be free to view on the WSG YouTube Channel.

Additionally, supporters can also follow all the action from afar via our social media platforms.

Spectator Guidelines

To ensure the smooth running of WSG Golf, attending spectators should follow instructions from event staff and security personnel at all times.

Attendees should remain in areas designated for parents, guardians, and supporters at all times, and should refrain from attempting to interfere with participant activities.

Decisions made by Event Officials are final, and any abuse towards staff, coaches, athletes, or other personnel will not be tolerated.
